7 day old handsome boy!!!

I was blessed on Tuesday with the opportunity to share this little boy's 7th day of life. He was sleeping when I arrived but once I pulled out the camera he opened his eyes and didn't want to miss a moment! He was a fabulous little guy and we created some stunning images for his family. Thank you Jenny for letting me share these moments with your family! Big brother was as handsome as ever. I always melt when I see his green eyes!

Miss. C is a doll. She is perfect from her head to her tiny toes! Her Mom & Dad were so loving and patient it was obvious that they will be amazing parents. Here is a little preview of their bundle of perfection. Enjoy!!!

Playing

I love playing with photoshop..... You know it is kind of goofy, but when I'm not working with clients I am working on my skills or scouting locations. I am really looking forward to a scouting trip with a fellow photographer. The holiday rush is here! Check back for images of some amazing families. For now I have been playing with photoshop and taking a little break. The wedding photos have been posted in the gallery and now I can breathe a bit... Emily - your day was so special!!! Emily + Erik

This weekend I had the pleasure of capturing Emily & Erik's Wedding! The weather was hit or miss the whole week before their special day and we were all praying the rain would stay away! The clouds parted, the temperature dropped, and we had a beautiful day for an outdoor ceremony. They had an intimate ceremony at the Lovett Inn and a large reception at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Houston. Thank you for letting me share this special day with your family! Love what I am discovering in HOUSTON!!!!

My family and I moved here last year, so I am still discovering all the amazing spots that Houston has to offer! I have started making a list of my favorite spots to shoot and I will post some photos from those locations as this blog grows. Today I have a few moments so I thought I would add some shots from one of my discovery trips.... Enjoy!

So, my son got a haircut. This may sound like a simple thing to some, but he is NOT good with haircuts! We were in Austin visiting my sister, and since he LOVES her, we thought we would try for the haircut.... I was not optimistic, but I thought we should find a "cool" place and then, maybe with my sister there watching; he would let them work their magic. Well, I can say that he didn't love the experience, but he let the lady cut his hair, and he was smiling at the end. (we all were) From now on we will be heading out to Austin for his haircuts!!! (it's a good excuse to visit my sister)

I am posting some pics from that experience, because I am going to start offering "event" photography. If you have something BIG coming up that you would like to document I will be available to capture it for you. That way you can always look back on their 1st birthday, parent’s 60th wedding anniversary or in my case, the dreaded haircut, and remember that experience. I know a haircut doesn't seem like it is a big deal, but for us it was and I am lucky to be able to have those moments captured.... I want to share them with him when he is older and has kids of his own! Okay, now I sound like a mushy mom..... On to the pics!!!

I'm in love!!!

Okay, this may sound a little crazy..... I am in love with a new location! I just stumbled upon this location today. Maybe stumbled isn't the right word.... My awesome friend Amy told me about this location and I couldn't be more thrilled! SO, today when I got off the phone and picked my son up from school, we checked the place out. He wasn't up for the shoot, but that is what happens when Mommy is a photographer! So, here are some shots of my unhappy son in a location that I now love.

I am realizing that the blog is being neglected. I have been so busy with getting the new website ready that I haven't been posting anything! It has been a great month filled with a variety of work. I have been busy with everything from corporate headshots to engagement photos. I am going to try to be better about the blog.

Houston is getting H O T!!!! I would love to know when we will see rain here in the desert that is Spring, TX..... Well, I have been taking a break from the heat, but Summer Mini-Sessions are on their way! I will post some pics here later. For now I will leave you with some pics I took of my own kids recently. If you follow me on facebook you have probably already seen these! All I can tell you is that this photo really captures them at these ages!
